Guild Meeting
Our
first meeting of the New Year will be on Jan 19th. The ladies from
Fabric Fanatics of Plano will be here to show us the latest and
greatest in Batiks, so don't miss it!
Fat Quarter Lotto
Do you
have extra fat quarters around the house? Do you love to win fabric?
Each month at the guild meeting, we will hold a Fat Quarter Lotto. To
participate, bring a fat quarter in the theme of that month (see page 5
of the Jan 2012
newsletter). For every fat quarter you turn in you get a chance at
winning all the fat quarters in that theme. Remember, fat quarters are
18" x 22".
*Bring your December fat quarters to the Jan meeting. We will draw for
December and January! The theme for December is holiday and red and Jan
is winter and grab bag.

The Allen Quilters' Guild is a 501(c)(3) organization, promoting the
knowledge of all aspects of quilting including the heritage, education,
art and friendship of quilting.
Meetings are held the 3rd Thursday of each month at the
First Presbyterian Church of Allen.
There are several activities, workshops and
community service projects to participate in.

Storybook Quilt Program
We had a fantastic and very successful 2011. We can’t wait to see
the great quilts you have been working on. There are still books
that are in need of quilters.
We look forward to see what 2012 has in store for the storybook
quilts. Thanks for sharing your time and talent with the children of
Allen.
Don’t forget about the great storybook photo album. This album has a
picture of each quilt and book. This album will sit with the display
at each meeting. When you are talking to new members about the
storybook program, feel free to flip through the album and brag.
Since we don’t always have the quilts to show, this will help us to
explain our awesome program to guests and
visitors.

Last month, we delivered 46 pillowcases and 17 small quilts to CASA
and City House. Stay tuned for more Community Service projects.

Thanks to our
members for your support of our library through many donations of books,
magazines and monetary collections. The library has been running
smoothly and the inventory has grown greatly since we got the library
shelves almost two years ago! Our complete inventory list is available
